HandyDay is a Swedish SaaS company that offers a digital procurement and tendering platform for the construction and real‑estate sectors, helping buyers streamline sourcing, evaluation and contracting of suppliers while enabling suppliers to discover and bid on projects. As a Senior Solutions Architect, Vladimir designs and initiates the development of an AI-powered system for Handyday that helps subcontractors efficiently manage complex construction documents. This system includes an AI service that analyzes large procurement documents to extract relevant requirements and references tailored to specific subcontractor needs. Currently, he is developing an alpha version that allows subcontractors to upload documents, review AI results, and provide feedback for model improvement, focusing on drawings in the initial phase. The model is refined iteratively based on this feedback and offered as a pay-as-you-go service. The solution is cloud-native and scalable, ensuring secure document processing and support for multiple languages, including Swedish. Vladimir prioritizes data privacy and secure handling of procurement data while continuously learning from user input. Additionally, he plans to integrate APIs with Handyday’s platform and conduct a staged beta release for selected users.
Developed backend systems on AWS and Azure using Python, with a focus on AI-powered document processing and data extraction. Built document analysis pipelines leveraging Azure Document Intelligence and serverless cloud architectures to process large volumes of unstructured data efficiently. Applied statistical techniques, including regression analysis and custom neural network models, to improve OCR and natural language processing accuracy. Also implemented infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation, alongside CI/CD pipelines that enabled reliable deployments and reproducible data processing workflows.
Led the development of Proqrai, an internal Fastdev-built multi-tenant SaaS platform focused on AI-driven analysis of construction procurement documents. Designed the overall system architecture and drove implementation using Node.js on AWS, while integrating GCP AI services including Gemini, Vertex AI, and Cloud Storage. Contributed to the document processing and analysis pipeline, enabling AI-powered extraction of structured requirements from complex procurement drawings and technical specifications. Worked closely with multiple enterprise customers across the Swedish construction industry to align technical solutions with business needs and real-world workflows.
Kplan is a Swedish digital platform designed for the construction sector that enables a building owner’s appointed quality‑assurance professional (“kontrollansvarig”) to create, manage and track the required control‑plan, risk assessments and documentation for a construction project. Vladimir works as a Senior Solutions Architect to support Kplan in integrating AI capabilities into their construction control software for the Swedish public sector. He designs a cloud-native architecture based on Microsoft Azure to meet the security and compliance needs of public sector clients. Vladimir implements authentication and subscription-based access control for AI features, ensuring that only authorized users can access them. He also focuses on data privacy by creating mechanisms for secure deletion of processed data and providing clear guidance to users to avoid sharing personal information, ensuring compliance with GDPR. His work involves using tools and technologies such as Python and various Microsoft Azure services, including App Service, Security, and Compliance, to enhance operational efficiency and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.
Contributed to the development of cloud-native platforms at Scania, initially helping build a diagnostic guides platform and later taking ownership of the architecture for an IoT product communication solution. Played a key role in establishing the diagnostic platform's foundation, developing a React-based frontend framework, a serverless AWS backend using TypeScript and Node.js Lambda functions, and supporting .NET microservices. Designed and implemented event-driven integrations across multiple internal data sources using AWS messaging services such as SNS and SQS. As a team lead and architect, led the modernization of an IoT platform, improving scalability, maintainability, security, and operational cost efficiency while ensuring alignment with evolving EU automotive regulations and business requirements.
Vladimir helped in the development and enhancement of FotoWare’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform, focusing on web services that streamlined partner, customer, and license management processes.
