Work history
Matilda Restaurant Ordering Platform is a Scandinavian food-ordering platform facilitating native mobile solutions for restaurant discovery, ordering, and in-café payments. Alexander played a key role in developing a native iOS application for food ordering and in-café payments across Scandinavia. He contributed to the implementation of the complete ordering workflow, secure payment gateway integration, and real-time menu updates. Additionally, Alexander built location-aware restaurant discovery and bilingual user interfaces, supporting multiple order types, including dine-in, pickup, and delivery. He continuously improved the application by implementing new features, resolving technical debt, and enhancing scalability.
mySewnet™ App is a companion app for embroidery machines under SINGER®, Husqvarna® Viking®, and PFAFF® brands. Alexander helped build a specialized mobile companion for embroidery machines. He developed the user interface and core logic for the machine setup assistant and crafting features, which included interactive tools for pattern generation, such as PhotoStitch and QR code creation. The app was optimized to support seamless interaction with a range of embroidery machine models, focusing on performance and an intuitive user experience.
Eye Live Mobile App is a social live-streaming platform focusing on sports and fitness broadcasting. Alexander joined the EYE Live project as an iOS developer, contributing to a social live-streaming platform focused on sports broadcasting. The app was built using SwiftUI and featured integration with the Strava API to enhance workout tracking. He implemented socket-based real-time communication, created custom overlays for displaying live metrics, and developed interactive location-based content discovery using MapKit.
Dreamler Mobile is a desktop and mobile productivity platform with a gamified UI for visual team collaboration. Alexander developed the Dreamler mobile client from scratch as part of a team effort to extend the company’s desktop-based productivity and collaboration platform to iOS. The project featured a gamified user interface with rich animations, aimed at increasing team engagement and visualizing workflows interactively. He implemented real-time communication using Socket.IO, along with an offline-first data synchronization model and a responsive architecture to ensure consistency with the desktop client. Key features included animated task boards, calendar integration, progress dashboards, and real-time chat functionality.
Fastpool Workforce Management Platform is a workforce management ecosystem with tools for scheduling, time tracking, and communication for distributed teams. Alexander was responsible for building and maintaining a suite of iOS applications, including Fastpool for Employees, Fastpool for Managers, and Punch In. These apps served as core components of a workforce management ecosystem aimed at streamlining staff scheduling, time tracking, and communication within distributed teams. He developed the Fastpool for Managers and Punch In applications from scratch, leveraging SwiftUI for a modern and maintainable codebase. In addition, he played a key role in designing shift workflows, implementing secure authentication, and ensuring real-time synchronization between the apps. He also contributed to refactoring the legacy Objective-C codebase of the Fastpool for Employees app. Throughout the development lifecycle, Alexander collaborated closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and QA specialists, contributing to a stable and maintainable suite of user-facing applications.
OSmobile for OpenSolutions is a mobile POS system for retail, integrating with payment terminals and peripheral devices. Alexander developed a highly customizable mobile POS application tailored for retail environments, integrating it with Ingenico payment terminals, Bluetooth printers, and barcode scanners. The app supported full offline functionality with deferred transaction synchronization. A core feature of the solution was its dynamic configuration architecture, which allowed application behavior and user interface to be entirely controlled via backend definitions, enabling fast adaptation to various business domains. Alexander designed and implemented dedicated modules for several custom deployments, including a Norwegian pizza chain and a Finnish casino, each with unique workflows and hardware setups. During this period, the project underwent a major technological shift, and Alexander participated in rewriting the codebase from Objective-C to Swift, significantly improving maintainability and performance.
Webminds is a developer of consumer-focused system utilities and media apps for iOS. Alexander worked on two iOS applications published on the App Store: DropSend and DropShots. His work focused on native Objective-C development for system utilities and cloud-connected media platforms. In DropSend, Alexander developed a file-sharing client that allowed users to send large files directly from their iOS devices to any recipient, including those without accounts. He implemented deep integration with device storage, preview features, and support for multiple file types and delivery states. The app also included in-app subscriptions and onboarding for freemium users. In DropShots, he implemented FTP file uploading, media caching, and server-side image conversion tools for a social content-sharing platform. Both applications were released on the App Store and remain available years after launch.
